The Wimbledon Project enhances a residential house by integrating the DSS Skyview Operable and Retractable Louvred Roof System, transforming a terrace area into a versatile living space that can be enjoyed in any weather condition. This system offers the flexibility to adjust the roof’s louvres for optimal sunlight and air flow, or to completely retract them for an open-air experience.

A key feature of this project is the addition of DSS Motorized Zip Blinds on the outdoor space. These blinds not only provide protection against the elements, such as wind and rain, but also add a significant layer of privacy. Positioned in front of the home, the blinds ensure that the residents can enjoy their outdoor area without concerns of being overlooked, enhancing both comfort and security.

To further customise the space, an additional support post was installed to create a functional door opening, seamlessly connecting the indoor and outdoor environments. This thoughtful addition improves access and integrates the newly covered area with the rest of the home.

Custom flashing has also been implemented to ensure a watertight seal and to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the house. This detail guarantees that the new structures blend flawlessly with the existing architecture, maintaining a cohesive look throughout.

Overall, the Wimbledon Project not only boosts the functionality of the outdoor space with its weather-protective features but also enhances privacy and accessibility, making it a perfect extension of the home.
